New technical partnership between Birelart and IAME
IAME to supply engines for Birelart Racing Team in the Mini, OK, OKJ, KZ and KZ2 categories from 2026
As the first races of the 2026 season approach, IAME and Birelart have announced a new technical partnership that will see the white-and-red racing team take to the track with IAME engines from the opening competitions of the year in the Mini, OK, OKN, OKJ, KZ and KZ2 categories.
The objective of this new partnership is to ensure ever-increasing competitiveness for Birelart karts, aimed at achieving progressively more ambitious goals. The commitment of both brands to innovation and the pursuit of maximum performance is rooted in a long series of shared values and builds upon the decades-long tradition of both companies, globally recognized as a mark of prestige and as a symbol of Italian excellence in international motorsport.
This new partnership represents a significant moment of integration following the formation of the Korus Group and will allow the two brands to work in close synergy, providing drivers with the best platforms to develop their talent, once again highlighting each Group company’s commitment to nurturing young motorsport talents.
Birelart thus joins Kart Republic (also a Korus Group brand), Energy Corse and all teams already powered by IAME, shaping a top-tier global partnership landscape that further confirms the commitment of the Zingonia-based brand to supporting the growth of young drivers, enabling every emerging motorsport talent to fully develop their potential.
IAME’s technical commitment has always been focused on the development of state-of-the-art, highly reliable engine solutions, capable of meeting both present and future challenges of international karting.
“IAME and Birelart, together with Kart Republic, have been brands of the Korus Group since October 2025, and this new partnership represents an important moment of integration for our motorsport ecosystem,” said Giovanni Delfino, CEO of the Korus Group. “We are proud to foster innovation and growth processes within the Group’s perimeter, setting a benchmark for the global karting landscape while ensuring high performance and the development of the motorsport talents of tomorrow.”
“The growth of technical partnerships in racing is a key element for our brand,” said Filippo Fagnani, Representing IAME. “The new engine supply agreement with the Birelart racing team represents a prestigious and significant milestone, providing further momentum to IAME’s already extensive and well-established on-track activities dedicated to the development of tomorrow’s motorsport talents.”
“The great successes achieved on track over the decades by the Birelart team have always been the result of a spirit of excellence and a constant pursuit of maximum performance,” said Ronni Sala, CEO of Birelart. “It is precisely within this context that the new technical partnership with IAME takes shape, and we are confident it will enable our Mini, OK, OKN, OKJ, KZ and KZ2 categories to reach increasingly ambitious goals.”
