Birelart and Riccardo Longhi Italian KZ2 Champions
In the last round at Franciacorta, Riccardo Longhi was crowned the new Italian KZ2 Champion, dominating the decisive weekend for the title.
It was a clean sweep for the Birelart driver who, after securing pole position on Friday, went on to win all the heats and the pre-final on Sunday morning.
The final KZ2 race of the season then saw Longhi win again with a lead of over four seconds and the fastest lap of the race.
The victory at Franciacorta adds to Longhi's solid season, which was focused on the standings, with other results including a double podium finish between Ugento and Viterbo. Longhi continues the winning streak in the ACI Karting Italian Championship, following the title won in 2024 by Cristian Bertuca.
Also on the podium at Franciacorta was Michael Ider, who finished third in the race and was the winner in the Under 18 classification. Also noteworthy is Achille Rea's excellent season in Mini Gr.3, with results including the victory at Viterbo and sixth place in the overall standings.
The partnership with Spino Project for the Italian Championship has brought excellent results and continuous progress throughout the season. Congratulations from all of Birelart to Marino Spinozzi for the great work.
